Senior Manual QA Engineer – Tbilisi, Georgia

Olmait is working on innovative and challenging projects and building teams in data science, data-related software, and cloud infrastructures for startups worldwide. Among our industries and fields of expertise are healthcare, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and more. With offices in Israel and Georgia, we have one of the most powerful development teams in the region. With us, you'll find a pleasant work environment and exceptional career development opportunities.

We are looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join the team behind Fei Studio, an autonomous development environment where AI agents make real, production-grade changes to customer codebases.

This is not a traditional manual QA role focused on following predefined test cases. AI agents can fail in unexpected and subtle ways: a task may report success while making no actual changes, a UI may continue showing stale information, or a failed preview may leave the user with no clear way to recover.

We are looking for someone with strong exploratory testing instincts who can identify these kinds of failures, reproduce and narrow them down, and document them with enough evidence for engineers to act immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run daily sanity checks across development and production environments, covering new features, core-flow regressions, and areas identified as risky in upcoming releases.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover silent and unexpected failures, particularly those specific to AI-agent behavior.
  • Identify cases where agents report successful execution despite incomplete, incorrect, or missing outcomes.
  • Create detailed, evidence-based bug reports including task/project IDs, environment details, screenshots, session or observability links, and clear reproduction steps.
  • Reproduce and investigate issues to determine whether defects are isolated or systemic before handing them over to engineering.
  • Use available system information to help distinguish between frontend, backend, state-management, and agent-related issues.
  • Track reported bugs through resolution and ensure the bug tracker remains accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with the engineering team around releases, with QA sanity checks contributing to the go/no-go decision for production deployments.
  • Communicate findings, defects, and testing results clearly and effectively to the team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Manual QA / Exploratory Testing Strong exploratory testing skills and the ability to identify scenarios beyond predefined test cases.
  • Proven ability to write clear, actionable bug reports that engineers can work from without additional clarification.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when identifying silent failures, inconsistent states, and unexpected system behavior.
  • Ability to reproduce, investigate, and narrow down defects before reporting them.
  • Basic technical understanding sufficient to distinguish between frontend and backend/system-level issues.
  • Strong ownership and follow-through from identifying a defect through its resolution.
  • Good level with LLMs:  MCP, skills, and AI agents.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance QA workflows, including test design, exploratory testing, and defect investigation.
  • Clear written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing complex products where behavior can be dynamic or non-deterministic.
  • Basic understanding of test automation, even if the role remains primarily focused on manual and exploratory QA.
  • Experience with browser developer tools, logs, network requests, and API debugging.

What Success Looks Like

Within 30 days:
You are independently running daily sanity checks and consistently filing clear, evidence-based bug reports.

Within 90 days:
You are catching subtle and systemic defects that others miss, including silent failures and inconsistent product states. Your reports require little to no back-and-forth before engineering can begin working on them.

Within 6 months:
You are a trusted part of the release process, and your QA assessment contributes directly to go/no-go production decisions.

Why Join Us

  • Work on an innovative AI product in a category where testing practices are still being defined.
  • Gain hands-on experience with real-world AI agents and their unique quality challenges.
  • Have a direct impact on what a small, fast-moving engineering team ships.
  • Full-time, remote position.
